Biography:
Dr. Heirigs received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, South Dakota. He then completed an internal medicine residency as well as a cardiology fellowship at the Creighton University School of Medicine, Omaha, Nebraska. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Heirigs is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Cardiology. He specializes in preventative and diagnostic cardiology as well as experienced in nuclear cardiology, diagnostic coronary cardiac catheterization and trans-thoracic and trans-esophageal echocardiograms.
Dr. Heirigs and his family live in North Platte, Nebraska, where he practices with the Nebraska Heart Institute as well as visiting patients in several surrounding communities in central and western Nebraska.
